 Cristiano Ronaldo dos Santos Aveiro, commonly known as Cristiano Ronaldo, is a Portuguese professional footballer who plays for Spanish club Real Madrid and the Portugal national team. He has been a star player since he entered the world of professional football and is one of the most recognizable athletes in the world today.

Ronaldo began his career playing for Sporting CP in their youth system and then signed with Manchester United in 2003. There he established himself as one of the best players in the world, winning multiple player of the year awards and helping United to several titles, including the Premier League and Champions League. He then moved to Real Madrid in 2009 and went on to become the club’s highest ever goalscorer. In 2016, he became the first player to score 100 goals in the UEFA Champions League and won his fourth Ballon d'Or, the most ever awarded to any player.
